Spiritual Attacks – Part 2

Strongholds and Agreements

When Satan launches an attack against you, his goal is very clear: to kill, steal, and destroy. During this season, he will use specific weapons that you may start to notice if you remain vigilant. For example, he might attack you with fear, shame, worry, doubt, regret, anxiety, and more. It’s important to pay attention to the specific weapons being used at this time. Notice if you’re experiencing sudden anger outbursts, conflicts, or if you’re gossiping more than usual. The enemy’s attack aims to create an agreement with you, encouraging you to think and act in ways that align with the attack.

To overcome this tactic, it is essential to understand your identity in Christ. This understanding allows you to recognize when you are being tempted to think, believe, or act outside of your true identity. The enemy actively seeks to form new agreements with you through various evil spirits, such as fear, guilt, shame, worry, and doubt, or to strengthen existing agreements with these spirits.

On the other hand, God’s objective is for you to overcome these attacks. He desires for you to grow in His Spirit so that you can effectively counter and halt these assaults. For example, the more you grow in the spirit of faith, the better you can resist the attacks of doubt and unbelief.

A practical way to combat these attacks is to speak out loud against the spirit of doubt and unbelief. If you find yourself under attack from a spirit of fear, learn what God says about fear, and proclaim it aloud as often as needed. Each time you feel tempted to succumb to fear, recognize it as an attack and address it immediately. Practice this even when you are not currently under attack.

Write a list of all the spirits that the enemy is attacking you with, and start addressing them one by one. Read God’s Word to understand what He says about these spirits. This way, you can internally recognize that God has not given you any of these spirits—they are actually from the devil himself.

Learn more about God’s nature and His promises for you. This knowledge will assure you that you are in good hands. Understand God’s faithfulness, trustworthiness, loving kindness, and mercy, so that your confidence in Him can grow.

As believers, God has anointed us to uproot, dismantle, destroy, and tear down the strongholds of the enemy. He has also given us the authority to overthrow the enemy’s influence in our lives. Additionally, we have the power to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy. This responsibility reflects our dominion.

Seasons of spiritual attack are great opportunities for us to exercise this dominion and authority. We should not allow the enemy to back us into a corner; instead, we should rise up, take the

offensive, and dismantle his strongholds. Let the attacks he launches come at a cost to his kingdom.

Spiritual Growth

During the attack season, the enemy seeks to weaken you and push you down. His goal is to draw you away from God and sow seeds of doubt about God’s faithfulness. However, God wants the complete opposite. During this time, He desires for us to draw closer to Him, and He wants to draw closer to us.

In this season, God wants us to live in His Spirit. He desires for us to be more fruitful, increasing in the fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control. Additionally, He wants us to grow in the gifts of the Spirit during this challenging time, cultivating discernment, wisdom, understanding, knowledge, the fear of the Lord, counsel, and might. Above all, He wants our faith and trust in Him to deepen.

To overcome oppression, we need to grow in spirit. The stronger our spirit, the more effectively we can overcome challenges. Therefore, God desires that we develop spiritually so that we can wield the authority He has given us through the Holy Spirit to face any attack.

Seasons of attack can be opportunities for spiritual growth, and we must press in during these times. We should engage more deeply in spiritual activities such as studying the Word of God, speaking words that align with His will, and praying fervently. Incorporating the gift of tongues into our prayer life can also enhance our spiritual development.

During this season, it’s essential to focus on heavenly matters. This aligns us with God’s strategy. Only the Spirit of God can guide us through attacks and facilitate our growth during these challenges. Therefore, we should prioritize our spiritual growth with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Conclusion.

Our goal during any spiritual attack should be to not only overcome the attack itself but also to dismantle the enemy strongholds that may have already existed in our lives before the attack began. Additionally, we must ensure that no new strongholds are established by the enemy during this challenging time. To achieve this, we should actively seek to remove the enemy’s influence from our lives.

This is an opportunity to grow spiritually, deepen our relationship with God, and gain a better understanding of the enemy’s tactics and weaknesses. Ultimately, we aim to emerge from this attack stronger and better in every way possible.

Wishing you all the best as you navigate these spiritual challenges in a powerful, victorious, and Godly manner!
